About Mount Kinabalu Golf Course

The Mount Kinabalu Golf Course is 6965 yards wide and consists of 18 holes with a par of 72. It opened in 1994 and was originally designed by Robert Muir Graves. The unique thing about the golf course is that each hole is separated by natural vegetation and the uneven terrain and steep slopes prove to add a challenging layout. The course tends to be enshrouded by thick mist and sporadic bursts of wind which can serve as natural hazards that add to the challenge of the sport.

One of the prominent holes is the 14th, par 3 in which a gushing river flows at the bottom of a deep ravine. Furthermore, you will need to score an accurate shot from the elevated tee positioned across the river to land on the green situated on the edge of a cliff which is not an easy feat.
